Adult critical care physician and ECMO Program Director at Vall d’Hebron University Hospital in Barcelona, Spain. Member of the EuroELSO Steering Committee, Chair of the Working Group on Infections in ECLS, and Chair of the Education Working Group. I also serve on the ELSO Research Committee, Scientific Oversight Committee, and Educational Committee. Tutor for ICU residents and Director of several national and international ECMO simulation-based training courses. PhD (cum laude and recipient of the extraordinary doctoral award from Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona).
