MD, PhD, Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor, Corresponding Member of the National Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine, Master of Public Administration, Expert in Anaesthesiology and Intensive Care in the Ministry of Health of Ukraine and the Kyiv City Public Health Department.

Prof. Kuchyn Yuriy has been the Rector of Bogomolets National Medical University since 2018. Since 2002, he has worked in various fields of Anaesthesiology and Intensive Care, as well as topics related to invasive diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, multiple traumas, acute and chronic pain management, regional anaesthesia, respiratory intensive care, and various aspects of medical education and clinical research.

For many years, he has been teaching at Bogomolets National Medical University and has administrative experience as the founder and first director of the Institute for Postgraduate Education, which is also part of the University.

In 2016, he launched the European Society of Anaesthesiology and Intensive Care School of Anaesthesiology as the director of the Kyiv regional center.
