MEÇO Başak Ceyda
Başak Ceyda MECO Dr. Başak Ceyda MECO, MD, DESAIC, FESAIC, is a professor of anaesthesiology specialized in neuroanaesthesia and geriatric anaesthesia. Dr. Meco completed her primary and high school in Lycée Français Charles de Gaulle, Ankara, Turkey (1995). She graduated from Ankara University Faculty of Medicine, Turkey (2001) and completed her anaesthesiology and ICM residency at the same university (2007). She collaborated and co-authored 76 scientific publications (original articles, case reports, and reviews) in national and international journals and 12 book chapters. She is a Section Editor of the Turkish Journal of Anaesthesiology and Reanimation. She is a member of the ESAIC examination committee, ESAIC Patient Safety and Quality Committee, ESAIC Scientific Committee-The geriatric patient subforum, ESAIC nomination committee. She is the Vice Chair of the Safe Brain Initiative ESAIC research group. Her major research interests include neuroanaesthesiology, geriatric anaesthesiology, and perioperative cognitive functions. Dr. Meco is married and is the mother of twin boys.
