SZÉKELY Andrea
Dr Székely is Professor of Anesthesia Department of Anesthesiology and Intensive Care at Semmelweis University Budapest, Hungary. Her main research interests include risk stratification and noncardiac factors influencing short and long term outcomes in the field of pediatric and adult cardiac surgery, mechanical cardiac support, transplantation and frailty. She is a team leader in the School of Doctoral Studies. Se has become Doctor of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences and Fellow of the European Society of Anesthesiology and Intensive Care (FESAIC). She is the Diversity-Equity-Inclusion Officer of the Board of the European Society of the Cardiothoracic Anesthesia and Intensive Care. She is oral examiner in EDAIC Part II examination and member, as clinical coordinator of the Committee of Basic and Clinical Sciences Anaesthetic Course (BCSAC) and of the Scientific Committee, Heart Forum,.Since 2022, she is the President of the European Workshop of Cardiovascular Intensivists. She has been actively involved in the Frailty Taskforce of the EACTS. She is an Editorial Board member of the Journal of Cardiothoracic and Vascular Anesthesia and the MDPI Biomedicines
