NEGEV Shahar
Dr. Shahar Negev, MD is a senior anesthesiologist at Soroka University Medical Center in Beer Sheva, Israel, a Level I trauma center serving the Southern region of the country. She completed her medical degree at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem and her residency in anesthesiology at Soroka Medical Center, where she also served as Chief Resident. Dr. Negev serves as the Coordinator of Trauma Anesthesia at Soroka Medical Center. She has extensive clinical experience in trauma anesthesia, with a particular focus on the management of combat-related injuries. During recent military conflicts, she has been actively involved in the care of critically injured patients, contributing to the recognition and characterization of unique pathophysiological phenomena, including combined dyshemoglobinemia in combat casualties. Her professional interests include trauma resuscitation, perioperative management of complex injuries, and medical leadership and healthcare management.
