BURLACU Crina
Associate Clinical Professor Crina L. Burlacu, MD, MSc, FCARCSI, EDAIC is a Consultant Anaesthesiologist with National Cancer Screening Services, St. Vincent’s University and St. Columcille’s Hospitals, Dublin, Ireland. She is Associate Clinical Professor with School of Medicine, Division of Surgery and Surgical Specialties, University College Dublin, and immediate past Director of the College of Anaesthesiologists of Ireland Simulation Training programme. In this role, she developed, implemented and advanced the College of Anaesthesiologist Simulation Training Programme from 2008 until 2022. Prof. Burlacu’s main clinical, research and teaching interests are in the field of anaesthesia for breast surgery, airway management and simulation-based education. She is Airway and Simulation Lead Consultant in her base hospital. She is Dublin Host for Part I European Diploma in Anaesthesia and Intensive Care and Part II EDAIC Examiner, as well as an Examiner for the College of Anaesthesiologists of Ireland. She is co-founder and past Chairperson of the Irish Association for Simulation. She has been a member of the European Society of Anaesthesiology and Intensive Care Simulation Committee since 2022 and Chairperson since 2024. In her ESAIC Simulation Committee capacity, she is collaborating with SRATI and SESAM in developing a Romanian National Curriculum for Simulation Training.
