Ataklti Adhanom is an Assistant Professor of anaesthesiology and postgraduate coordinator at Mekelle University for the departments of anaesthesiology, critical care and pain medicine. He is also Master of General Student Public Health at the same institution.
He has been practicing as an anaesthesiologist for the last year and a half. He received his medical degree, MD, from Mekelle University in 2019. In the same year he joined Addis Ababa University located in Ethiopia, East Africa, for postgraduate specialty training in anaesthesiology.
He received a letter of appreciation for his contribution in ICU during Covid-19 while he was a resident trainee. Furthermore, he has has successfully completed a course focused on research writing within the field of science from AuthorAID project, INASP, UK.
He completed a thesis based on the inter-rater reliability of GCS and FOUR score as a part of the requirements to earn a certificate in anaesthesiology, which he is going to speak about in his presentation.
After his graduation he worked as the first ever anaesthesiologist in the district General hospital where he was awarded a letter of appreciation for his contribution to the Hospital’s ICU.
